Season 3 of The Farmer and The Foodie premieres Saturday, January 7 on KET. Tune in as we learn about the benefits of draft animals and raw milk; explore Kentucky’s native fruit, the pawpaw; visit two farms run by military veterans; roll up our sleeves on a Henry County shrimp farm; and experiment with heirloom seeds from a Jackson County farmer and make a Sunday roast.
The Farmer & The Foodie
KET Saturday, Jan. 7 • 3:30/2:30 pm
Stream at KET.org and the PBS Video app.
Each episode goes behind-the-scenes with Kentucky farmers to see first-hand how the food is made, and then we take what we’ve learned into the kitchen to create a delicious meal to share with guests! Recipes from all the dishes made on The Farmer & The Foodie are available for downloading at KET.org/Farmer&Foodie.
Additionally, tickets are available for an in-person event in Louisville on Jan. 21, 2023 – The Farmer, The Foodie, And You! – in which participants join us in the kitchen for an up-close-and-personal, interactive cooking demonstration of our favorite winter recipes! Tickets include dinner, appetizers and beverages. For more info, visit KET.org/events.
